I dont have cable so I watch Hunter Vids online. I have some Eastmans and Western Hunter DVDs that are really good.

I like the good quality videography and the dramatic feel some of these new videos are producing, it really helps tell the story.

Western Hunter and Eastman's are the only two I keep a timer set for. I'll watch about any of them if they are hunting out west but those are the two I really look forward to watching. I turn the channel if I see turkey hunting or some guy sitting in a tree stand waiting for a whitetail.

Like most of you, the TV gets turned with any "Eastern" hunts. I do watch The McMillans though, Tom is pretty goofy. On my DVR timer, Western Hunter, Fresh Tracks, Solo Hunter, MeatEater, Eastman's, and RMEF I have been watching for a while. I just added Western Extreme and Into High Country. These 2 are fairly new to me, so I am indecisive so far. Western Extreme I'm starting to like cause he gives bowhunting pointers or strategies that interest me and helps me being somewhat of a novice.

I do not watch the shows that add loud and/or obnoxious music, etc to their sound track; where everyone has to be a member of the "pro-staff" or whatever; shows where everyone is jumping around, screaming, high fiving etc. over killing an animal. I personally feel like that disrespects the animal and the sport. As Bill Parcells used to say about TD demonstrations, "act like you've been there before". That cuts out most of them.

I am impressed with some of the ladies on the hunting shows that have perfect hair, makeup, jewelry etc.. I have hunted with a few of my girl cousins, and they were not able to get that all done in time to leave at 4:30 AM for the hunt. Do you ever wonder if dangling earrings are dangerous when bowhunting, or if the glare of super whitened teeth will spook a whitetail? Sure look pretty, though.

The ones I try to watch every week:
Western extreme
Eastmans
RMEF
try to catch meateater ,ridge reaper, Dead dog walking, fox pro fur takers
Some times buckmasters and bone collector if it's not siting in a tree stand most the other shows I would rather go clean a gun, sit at the reloading bench, look at Google earth/bacecamp maps to get my hunting fix for the day

I like Western Hunter. Seen a couple episodes and I like how Nate makes it feel like I do when I'm out there. The highs and the lows. The camp and the hunt. I like the other stuff that goes into the western hunts. It's not all about the kill for me. I love the tent shots and hiking in, and life inside the tent after a hard day or during a snowfall or rainstorm. Getting your rig stuck in the mud or snow.

Even though I'm from back east and do a lot of whitetail hunting myself I'm like a lot of you guys I really don't like the whitetail hunts as much. I do like Bonecollector, Drury boys and of course I like to look at Tiffany Lakosky, but I prefer any hunt that's out west.

Oh and I hate watching Spirit of the Wild with Ted Nugent. Can he hunt anything other than pen raised animals? Nothing against Ted but his show is awful. The other day his wife shot a nice buck and in the background while they're talking about "the mystical flight of the arrow" there are deer walking behind them in the background like cattle. Where I hunt that doesn't happen. Not to say that couldn't happen but you know what I mean.

X2 ^^^^^^^, I actually met the guy in an archery shop which was cool. But the fact of hunting fenced animals is not hunting!

Sure....He goes to California and gets cited for hunting deer over bait. (Illegal in California). Goes to Alaska and wounds a bear and keeps hunting. (Illegal in Alaska). Guess he stays in Texas now and hunts behind fences on private property.

A lot of us would love to ship him back to Michigan.

We don't have cable so I haven't seen any hunting programs in a few years. Last time I watched a few with my brother at his house over Christmas break, they did too much chest bumping and promoting of energy drinks and other products. I can't recall the name of the show but I was disappointed. Much more enjoyable to hear my dad and his brothers tell their hunting stories from past years.

I am a member of RMEF and I used to watch a fair amount of the RMEF show but it seems they have pretty much gone to a guided private land show. The one exception was when Randy did a show with his friend.

I also watched the show where Randy Newberg and his buddy hunted on public land on the RMEF tv show. Every other RMEF show I have seen has been conducted on a private ranch with a guide, something a lotof us will never do. That is why I rarely watch that show. I know they are a very worthwhile organization. Their habitat conservation efforts on private land do benefit public land hunters but I think they should put more emphasis on public land.

Cowboy, you forgot the fact that he crapped his pants and acted like a loon to dodge the draft and get out of military service.
Now he's portrayed as a Patriot and waves the flag at every opportunity....I wouldn't watch him if you held a gun to my head.
How soon we forget. I watch Eastman's, Fresh Tracks, Meat Eater, Boddington. I can't stand "Dropped" with all their stupid background music, or the Long Range show. I won't watch anything with blubbering Stan Potts in it either.
