What's a guy to do with his old or unused hunting gear?

I'd hate to throw it out, and probably never would do that.

Would love to sell it, ie, even if I could get 10 or 20 bucks for some decent binos, or 2 way radios etc... but it's hardly worth the hassle to ship/post/ sell that stuff to make 10 or 20 bucks.

Don't really know anyone to give it to or sell it to 1st hand either.

Oh also some not so old clothing/coveralls, I forget what these cost me, at least 200 I think, but again trying to sell these for 40 bucks would probably be more trouble than it would be worth.

also nothing worse than dealing with endless emails, only to be turned down, or someone saying I'll be there tuesday, then no call, then you call them and they give you some bad reason only to never hear from them again.

perhaps I could just post some of my junk on craigslist for cheap and get rid of it for cheap to the 1st easy sale...?

Ideas/Suggestion?

How about "Pay it Forward" like they do over on the Nosler Forum (great bunch of folks there by the way). Post up what you have and maybe there is a new shooter/hunter out there that could use some of it. Maybe someone getting into it again and they don't have the gear, or maybe like Old Hunter and $$$ are tight right now. You could help someone out and get help more folks enjoying our outdoor sports. It's a win win situation. Just a thought!! Since I brought it up, I'll be the first to start. I'll go to the classifieds section and start a Pay it Forward.

Yard sale believe It or not. I had a yard sale this past summer got rid of the majority of items I no longer use. Sold old binos, calls, clothes, these prices were cheap but i'm glad I just got rid of them to make room for more. You might be surprised what someone is willing to buy I know I was.

the binos are tasco 10x42 I think they were $100 new.

Just getting ready to pack up for this year's hunt and you see years and years of stuff, stuff you've replaced and still have, sure someone can use some of it.

I'll checkout that nosler forum. Thanks.

I have a camera/bino combo thing too, celestar I think it is, uses an SD card. these might have been $50 new.

also have some rechargeable 2 way radios, motorola.

2 pairs of insulated/gore tex coveralls, 1 for a man, XL probably, and 1 for a older kid, like a 5'8" kid... I'm 5'11 and could squeeze into them but they're tight. they're reversable, 1 set is orange or green camo, the other is snow camo or green camo.

Yahoo groups also has a group called FreeCycle. You have to be a member of the group. You can only take as much free stuff as you give away.
So if your looking to start off by giving some away, its a great way to open up the options for you to get something free. Nothing is allowed to be sold on the group page. Every city or major city I believe has a yahoo freecycle like craigslist.
