Are there any poisonous mimics that look exactly like the Huckleberry?I'm sure there are berries there I don't know where though. id go to a local family owned grocery store and ask. drive around forest rds, if berries are on you will see cars pulled over in random spots, over here the berries between 5 and 6500ft are ready. we always freeze ours in freezer zip lock bags. has worked for winter time huckle berry pies!!! we are going picking this weekend!!Took the family picking. We found some nice patches. My kids loved it which was great having some extra hands. Came home with 10.5 cups of Huckleberries. The kids are excited about trying some muffins and pancakes with some of their Huckleberries. Any issues freezing them in a ziplock bag? I don't want to vacuum seal them and run the risk of smashing them. I could freeze them first and then vacuum seal them. Thanks for the help guys!!
