I prefer to take dyneema cord. You can buy it by the spool at climbing shops or just buy a spool of bowfishing line. It weighs less than a 100' of paracord, has more tensile strength, and has more practical applications.

2 x 50 feet , I use 1 for hanging food from bears and still have a second to carry with me while out hunting

I usually take way to much. Prolly close to 100ft. Honestly I use it most for solo gutting, skinning, and quartering. Usually to tie the animal off to a tree while I'm working on part of it.

A buddy had a pack horse roll with the saddle...



Had enough para cord to sling this pair of Elk Hindquarters on my Brother in law's horse for the 6 mile walk back to camp.
