Saw the buck I was chasing two years ago posted on a Big Bucks of _____ site. It was a very unique whitetail, was no doubt it was him. He had just traveled a mile and a half from where I had pics of him. They shot him legally where they had permission so it wasn't a big deal, but it was kinda a punch in the gut since I was hunting that deer specifically that year.

All of the above. I usually chase a very specific large buck all year so might be part of it.. Here are the last 3 years worth..

2016 I walked off a stalk when the buck I was chasing crossed a ridge- as I was going to pass on every other buck in the group so backed out to watch. A guided hunter with film crew went in and killed as they "say" a 195" typical buck in the group?.. The buck I was chasing was killed about 2 days later by a friend it was 32" wide with and had a real gross score of about 192" It worked out that year I got a 207" non typical buck.

2017 I left a basin after seeing no bucks over 175" - there were other hunters in the area super fired up to film a hunt on the 180++" deer in there lol and they went 1 for 2 on one of the 175" type bucks. I also passed on another buck that yr a muzzy hunter got again he "made the news" and with a large in line was said in the film to be 192". Ate my tag as I did not find a "big" buck to hunt 2017.

This year I passed on a buck that went 205+" he just hung out until muzzy and another hunter got him. Big film of that one out there. I was hunting a unicorn this yr so that made it easier to move on from a 200"+ buck.

Wish there was less of it but now days seems a lot of hunters seem to drag a film crew around.
