WA I'll be in the high country the 1-9th hunting archery mule deer then November I'll be there for 14 days hunting 12 of those for mule deer packing in again..
Right around 30 days, plus evening and weekend hunts for misc. Out-of-state schedule is kind of weak this year, but I do have MT deer. I have three hunts in OR plus fall bear, cougar and misc. upland and waterfowl. It should be another fun year! Although not all the hunts will be what I call remote.
I've got 17 days straight off, hopefully about 6 days in the field in D8 and 8 days in the field in G38, unless I go in the hole on leave to stay longer in G38. I'm hoping to get out for a couple of extra weekends in addition (D8 and/or G38), maybe do some camp-based hunting with the wife and kid.
I have 14 off straight secured. A couple of other 3 day weekends. Might go to NV for a buddies predation bull hunt and a couple of other's cow tags. 7 for those. Two days lost to travel.
I take my vacation so that i am usually in the hills from around end of September to first couple days of November its awesome. I have to wait and see what happens with the draw results that might change where i go and how long i will be gone.I put the kids in so if they draw i will have to work around school and sports. But that's the plan for now
If I'm lucky I'll be off the grid from late August all the way through Colorado 3rd season, so I guess around 60 days. That's the plan if not i will only get 9 days to hunt
Well, I have a elk tag for wyoming and was just thinking about this. I'm going part time at work in September so I might just stay in Wyoming for a month if needed. Back home in Wisconsin, I'm not off the grid but will have lots of time for grouse and archery whitetail hunting. I'm really looking forward to this semi-retired situation and what it holds for the future. Next year, I need to plan better and buy some over the counter tags for something out west!
My schedule for this fall looks like 8 days elk hunting in CO, 9 days mulie hunting in MT, and probably another 10 days whitetail hunting back home in WI. Not too bad actually, for a guy with a baby and limited vacation.
I'm jealous, looks like 6-7 days archery elk in Co. Off grid, then another 6 or so somewhat off grid, hopefully another 2 days with my son for youth shotgun in Ohio. I imagine there will be some impromptu hog hunting days in fl.
About 50 days. That's here in New Zealand for deer, tahr and chamois and a couple of weeks in western Wyoming trying for archery mulie and elk. 10 of those days will be in the Fiordland wilderness, which is the most isolated area in New Zealand and nothing man made and well out of cell range - can't wait.
