How did you all do with the old stick slinger this year?! I got my first bow kill ever! It was an Antelope the 72-73 inch range in Nevada.

I took a B&C mountain goat and a cow elk. I'm still hunting mulies so hopefully this weekend I'll get a chance.

Elk didn't quite pan out, deer, the rut is just starting and the hunt goes until the 30th, so it's going to be fun.

2011 Season:

Well, it all started with an AZ javelina I arrowed in January. In the Spring, I managed to call in a couple of song dogs that were unable to outrun my arrows. I arrowed my first Coues Whitetail in August (AZ), and have filled one archery CA Blacktail tag so far with one more to fill. Season ends in December.

My son filled both of his CA tags, arrowing two Blacktails (hybrids). We're both heading to Arizona the day after Christmas to hunt rutting AZ desert mule deer.......should be fun.

ARK Bear - rained 2.5 of the 3 days we spent in our stands saw nothing - tag soup.

SD Mulie - Tough year, only saw two shooters, came to full draw on the best one at 32 yards on the last day, but he spun as i drew and I wasn't comfortable with a hard quartering shot on the run at 40 yards so I passed.

Have a late season New Mexico archery tag, I may not be too picky for that one, considering my freezer is kind of empty.

Early NoDak hunt produced nothing, but will be going back later, got a nice velvet muley in CO, grossed 168 2/8, and have tagged a couple does here in MN, but still have my buck tag. Pretty confident yet, considering I've seen 2 trophy bucks in the last 2 weeks, and there's a solid week of rut left. Also got my first coyote with a bow.

Tag soup......again! The good news? A few of my friends had a great season. This has just motivated me to push that much harder. Next year will be my year!

I shot my first Coues deer in Arizona in January. He was a smaller 4x4 but I was extremely happy. Sept: I went to Montana and passed on several ok muledeer and couldnt get close enough on the monster 4x4 I saw, but in the end didn't even draw my bow. upon returning to AZ I went directly out to elk hunt and after 13 days shot my first elk; a 6x6. Not a huge bull, but my first and an incredible experience. The most important thing I got this year was an enormous amount of knowledge in different areas.

got a nice javalina boar in az. in january. and a couple whitetails in west virgina. this big boy is by far my best whitetail to date.
i know for some of you midwestern hardcore whitetail freaks he isnt HUGE. but he is the biggest whitetail buck this nevada boy has ever had in bow range. and i couldn't be more pleased.

Congrats floorya. With all of the hunts you have been on, do you have any more wall space?
thanks. wall real estate is getting pretty scarce around here. i was in the "wonderful room of death" yesterday trying to figure out where i'm going to put the 5 new mounts i got coming from the taxidermist in the next couple months. but on the bright side, i think its a pretty good "problem" to have.:p

That sounds like a real problem to me. I wish I had the same problem. Lol
