I'm embarrassed to say I didn't at first recognize this (the somewhat misleading and PC description didn't help) as I was scrolling through Netflix for things to watch last night. This is the best movie you'll see all year.
This is one of the more amazing films I've ever seen. The footage (even with those old time camera's) is amazing, the animals and hunting scenes are incredible. Gordon's insight and belief of conservation that comes through his narration is really impressive - even prophetic. It's also very nostalgic; to see these guys travel, fishing and hunting gear back then, it's amazing how spoiled we are. They're tromping around the Canadian and Alaskan bush in jeans and simple looking hiking boots, floating rivers in military surplus inflatable rafts and camping for days on end without even sleeping bags.
