Nice lakers Slugz. I've caught a lot of them out of a canoe on Siskowet Lake on Isle Royale National Park. Folks who say that they don't give you much of a fight have never caught them out of a small boat using light tackle. Fine dining too.
Is that a Pak boat?

Yeah they are a good time. We use some light steelhead rods that work really well jigging. Enough backbone for when we hook one over 30inches but light enough to have fun with the sub 30inch fish.

We have our boat program tuned in after several years of experimentation. It's a KA Boat Triton. Model 15' ( Think Alaska inflatable type)
100Ah Lithium battery with a newer trolling motor. We get a solid week out of it with no recharge.
We fished 3 men and a medium dog very comfortably in it.

Nice fish Slugz, in beautiful country to boot. It's good to catch the bigger fish, but they are often too big to consume while camping. It's always nice to catch some "eaters" while in the outback. I'll be spending a week on a high mt. lake in Sept., but we'll be after cut-throat, so there won't be any lunkers in the boat.

Yeah we dont keep any big ones. All catch and release for the Lakers. We keep one eater a year just big enough for a 4 person lunch. Thanks!!
