Not directly tied to the de-listing, but in the last couple days there were two news stories here in Montana, first grizzly(s) reported out near the Big Hole river valley where they haven't been seen in nearly a hundred years I believe they say, second, a vehicle struck and killed a 12 year old boar near Condon,MT north of Seeley Lake. Myself, I came across a grizzly early this summer, on the ranch I hunt, they are truly a special creature, but still need to be kept in check, we no longer live like they did in 1800's or before, therefore there is a lot smaller area these bears can inhabit, sad, but the truth.

I don't understand why it's public debate, it should be based on facts. To me in my little research I've done I can't see why they haven't been delisted already.

EXACTLY!! The science is there to delist and we need to use common sense on this which I believe they are. I guess they do just want to hear what the public wants also. IT does make it tougher a lot of times to get things accomplished and these folks actually do more harm for critters than good by delaying different programs and objectives.

Unfortunately the environmentalist groups won't make any money if they aren't protesting something. .so no matter what the actual Science says. .they will still do all they can to fight the correct action from being taken. I live right in the heart of grizzly country, and yes 100% they need to be managed soon as there range is growing yearly into places they shouldn't be

I find it so frustrating, my background is as a biologist, moreso landscape ecology but threatened species conservation is my real passion. I look at it as a point of pride to be able to see an animal moved from the threatened list, not just kept there to justify my job. Things are no different in Australia.

Glad I'm out of conservation, water industry is the go these days, my co-workers are at least logical thinkers now!

Done. Reading some of the comments it is painfully obvious
That the anti's are not afraid to voice their opinions!
