I just got the 550t. It seems l like a good gps. The preloaded map is 400 feet of. I called Garmin and they said that's. As good as it gets for the 100k map.They said the 24k is a lot better. The reviews for dim screen is weird because you can change the lighting to make it nice and bright. I'm getting the 24k map for Wyoming and Oregon next.
