GPS problems

I have a Magellan GPS that was purchased in 2007 and I have never had any issues with it. This weekend when out hunting I noticed that it was acting up on me. My location was about 5-10 miles away from where I actual was and it said that I was at 83,000 ft of elevation. I am sure what the model number is on the GPS but I was curious if any one else has had this problem. Not sure if I need to send it back or if a new software upload needs to happen. Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks

I have a Magellan Triton 500 that I used for a little over a year then it started acting up similarly to what you described then I turned it on one day and it said there was some sort of error and now it doesn't work at all. They only have a one year warranty so they said I could buy a new one at a reduced price, I am still thinking about whether or not to get one or get a different brand. What model do you have?
