Good "group" hunt?

I am turning 50 next year and thinking about a big game hunt to help celebrate the half century mark. I have a few friends who are avid deer hunters and would like to venture off to the something a little different than whitetails. Group might be as big as 5 or 6!

I am looking and open for suggestions but preference points seem to stand in the way of some elk and mule deer hunts.

I was thinking maybe a Caribou hunt where chances of everyone in camp might kill out. ? Any other ideas and/or outfitters would be great!
Thank you!

Hi Slayer and welcome to the forum. Please head over to the new members section and give us your intro. There are a ton of people on here that can really provide you with some good information. My advice would be a Wyoming antelope hunt for a group of that size. Its a high percentage hunt where a group of guys can really enjoy themselves. There are areas in Wyoming that can be drawn with zero points. The trick is finding property to hunt. If you guys a willing to pay a small trespass fee, you should be able to find a suitable ranch. Good luck!

Something like North Alberta Outfitters might fit what you're looking for. Would need to ask about the cost of adding other animals to a hunt so if someone kills first day they aren't sitting around idle for a week.

Thank you! I will do so. I have hunted Pronghorn in WY. several times and thought about this is an option. I really just want to do something we have not done...thus the Caribou or ?

Jack Humes Adventures do semi guided camps for Caribou. It's 6 hunters to a camp, and only one guide/manager/cook.

Caribou would be fun but there are some good elk hunts in CO (ranching for wildlife) no points just $$$$
another fun group hunt that i like is Javelina in AZ its is not big game but its a lot of fun

Another one to consider is eastern Canadian moose. Fairly cheap and high success rates are published. Haven't done this hunt yet but am trying to get a group together myself. It looks to be similarly prices to a caribou hunt.

would you recommend this outfitter? Sounds like a good plan to me. Thanks
I hunted with a different outfitter, but have heard nothing but good things about their operation. I was going to book with them but my Uncle wanted to go through Cabelas and use his Cabelas card for the points.

How was your hunt with Cabelas outfitter? Who was it? I thought of doing the same thing but they look to be a tad bit higher.

We hunted with Ungava Adventures and it was a lot of fun. Although it was just my uncle and myself, there was a total of 6 hunters in camp. We ended up getting 11 of 12 bulls, 6 good Bulls, 4 small Bulls and one fantastic bull.

I see your from Laramie. I love Laramie Wy. A couple years ago we camped just west of town at a small campground that has bar/cafe/dance hall. We hunted pronghorn and fly fished and had a blast.
