I wouldn't call beating Clemson by 4 points in the title game being in a class by themselves, especially when Clemson had 31 first downs to Bama's 18. DeShaun Watson was only a sophomore and the QB competition wasn't even close.

Several teams are maybe as good as Bama this year. Clemson and Florida State are loaded. LSU, Michigan and Oklahoma look pretty good too.
You must have not seen the Clemson game yesterday? They didn't look too stellar to me. Auburn has NO offense and almost beat Clemson. Until someone consistently knocks off Alabama and Saban then it is what it is. Everyone hates a winner especially when they come from the S.E.C. Don't fall into that same trap the sportscasters try and create. Enjoy your team as I do mine but not going to hate greatness. Hell I'm a Dawg fan, but it is what it is. Just sayin!

Not too many teams look stellar in the first game of the year, although Bama certainly did. There were lots of sloppy games this week, just like every year. Watson is the same guy that had a ridiculous number of yards against Alabama in the title game. He'll get it going.

Amazing that bama can do all this with the fighting amongst each other on the sidelines. I saw a player get in sabans face an tell him how it was and saban took it!. Its hard for me to believe some of his players spend much time in class. Wow! Nfl in college! They good tho!

Watch out for Texas this year. My son is a senior this year in high school and he played his freshman year with porter gustin which plays for usc #45 good player.

How about the ASU guy scoring 8 touchdowns against Texas Tech. They could sneak up in the Pac 12. And they all weren't short runs.. Plus most of the guys go to class of some type unlike SEC players who cant read the diploma they except.............BOB!

Oregon's defense has given up darn 400yards a game, and over 140 to each of the last two running backs! If Nebraska has it's running game going it could be a long duck season! Go Huskers!

It was by 5 points. 31 to 18 wow I guess ya'll should have won huh? Who needs 1st downs when you have a 50yard TD run, 51yard TD pass, and a 53yard TD pass. Ya'll had more yards on offense too: 550 to 473. Too bad the object of the game is to advance the football across the goal line or kick it through the goalpost. Stats can give you a idea of the game but can't tell you everything. If you look at TOTAL yards we outgained Clemson 681 to 640 but that doesn't tell you the whole story does it? How many yards did we gain on the on-side kick: 0! I would say it was the most important play of the entire game. Clemson and especially Deshaun Watson played an almost perfect game and I tip my hat to them. Great season!

As to your second paragraph: I'm not sure you watch very much football: Houston made Oklahoma look bad and LSU's offense looked like it was coached by me lol. I'm not saying they can't be good, but week 1 was not good for them. With that said: Alabama and Clemson definitely didn't look like the top 2 teams in the country this past weekend. I just hope we can squeak by Ole Miss this weekend.

Only thing I saw was players fighting and Saban coming over and repeating "calm down" over and over to Ronnie Harrison. Harrison tried to hit Reuben Foster and I bet he got lit up at practice last week by some players. As for players going to class: archery, mythology, and basket weaving are classes too! LOL!
