This forum is dead with silence I enjoy Idaho to much to let this thread sit here in complete and udder silence! Any of you guys going/gone Steelhead fishing this year?? Numbers don't look to great and all the fires have made runoff pretty muddy, I'm heading up next week.

I have to agree. I loved hunting deer and elk in ID but no more. Such beautiful country and not much game anymore.

I started western hunting around Salmon. It was great hunting and scenery. Unfortunately, its only good scenery now. I miss going back there, I really do. If I dont draw a tag in 2015 I may go back, but I know it wont be like it used to be.

Idaho has some left! Just not as many. I wish I had pics of some of the bulls I have seen but I didnt have a very good camera or spotter when I saw most of them. This year I hope to be posting some pics of a big (maybe not real big lol) Idaho bull

the elk have all migrated to nevada, it is true. the wolves have chased then near the reno area. we are left with jackrabitts and rattlesnakes.

I disagree ....There are a lot of good hunting spots left in the state with a little hard work.!! If your looking for the hay day of the 60's and 70's there gone for sure. I traveled this world with the us navy and came back to my home state because there is no better in my opinion. I hate to see the good state of Idaho's name dragged through the mud. THERE STILL GOOD HUNTING HERE..

but IDELKFYR in most of the hunt areas the wolves have taken a toll on the game we love to hunt if Idaho wants to keep it good hunting name the fish and game needs to get rid of the dam wolves

I don't think any one would disagree that there are some good hunting areas in ID still. I know there are still some elk in the areas I've hunted too. My issue is that the numbers are so low from just 6-8 years ago it tough to justify the cost to only maybe have a chance at filling a tag vs going to another state with better odds.

I love ID and I hope the area comes back with game. I will be there in a heart beat!

Well the first thing we did was cut all the trees down along the i-84 ,so you guys will head for oregon and washington.Then we started bitching about how shitty the hunting is.If you really like to hunt,trying killing a wolf.Year round season on private ground,come on out.Larry
