Another one of my favorites from this last elk hunt. I bet I stood there 10 minutes just starring at him. Good thing I wasn't in Montana- would have been against the law.

I like the elk, and the comment Hilltop. Luckily, the Montana law is about to change thanks to Jim Latala's persistance.

Thanks Hilltop! That was kind of a bittersweet deal. My buddy shot that bull a couple days prior and we lost it. We spent a lot of time tracking and eventually lost the blood and all sign. Long story short, the bull had doubled back around on us and that particular morning we found the bull and the bear was feeding on it! Talk about a complete circle of life! Great bear just to bad we lost all the elk meat!

Thxnks. I started taking pics of the tent cause I could not see 60 yds down hill. The storm broke eventually.

FYI, our designer built 3 banners out of the material already on this post. We are planning to change them out periodically so feel free to keep dropping in pictures, they might just get used.
New banner is up. Check it out on your desktop. Will change it out in a few months for a new picture or two.
