Got out for some light tackle offshore action today. 19 key west grunts, 3 sea bass, couple lane snapper, a sheepshead, 4 octopus and about 30+ other porgies etc. all in about 4 hours.

Should have told them "Garden Hackle", that's what my Granddad would have said.haha finally got a good warm up. river is way to high and lakes are frozen still, had to do some driving to find a reservoir by Utah border that had open water on the edges of ice. shot that "bee" on the ice and plopped it in the water and started jigging. was great fun. a little fly fishing humor.... 2 guys were fly-fishing close by and I watched them for a bit before fishing to see if was any good. they weren't catching anything so I changed up what I planned to use. I hooked up on first drop and after I released it they asked what I was using. I yelled, WORMS! hahaha they got so upset (its an artificial bait, trophy lake) gave me a chuckle
You gotta quit rooting in the bed and get down to that fishin hole. Haha. It's ok to be next to last but just don't be last.
He's alive! Guess that means I'm kingfishing and tarpon fishing solo! Of course they'll all be otta here by the time the house is done!
