dumb question..... had a blast catching that carp with son the other day and have been doing some research to target them this spring, would be a fun change up. I noticed blood worms were a fav of carp..... question is..... would Idaho rivers and lakes even have blood worms on the bottoms? or are they more of a costal state thing?

Well, I just finished tying up the last of the kingfish rigs for the big tournament this weekend. Wish us luck, 50 grand is at stake for first prize.Image1461799270.577957.jpg

Still ice fishing around here went up and found there is 4+ feet of ice above 12,000'. The skiing is not bad either..

Um I defiantly miss the saltwater since moving to Wyoming. Hopefully you will catch a good smoker and win the pot. Got to say I am jealous. I don't saltwater fish much but did go 5-6 times a year until this year. The year we didn't go to Venice the killed the big Tunas this winter

Great pictures, and I like the way you measure fish! Matt, I thought I'd let you I was here before you!View attachment 16300
Man Pete I should be riding side saddle with you. You beat me alright and I am jealous. But now you need to stop, go in the fly shop, book a guide, and float that river. Once you get to the takeout text me all the pictures of the big fish you catch...please.

Yea we have gotten a couple of big spring storms this one will dump another 3-4 feet in the higher elevations. I got about a foot at my house right now and it was 19 deg this am when I got up. These storms will make everything green up nice once it warms up. I was hoping to chase some lakers today but the lakes are still frozen over.

These storms have no effect on the animals as it melts off in a couple of days and is great for the early season vegetation.

We had a less than stellar day in comparison to others (65lb was winning fish) but my daughter caught her first kingfish - 21+ lbs and got knocked out of the top three for youth division by a last minute fish! Still a happy dad! Image1462113393.888758.jpgImage1462113406.714125.jpgImage1462113417.558456.jpg
