The end of my line. Lol

I used panthers martins most of my life but wanted to find something else that I could finesse more. There's more to panther Martin fishing than it seems but it only produced on the best days. Lately, I've been using curly tail grubs and messing with other plastics and jigs. Wyo has "chemical attractants" listed as bait so a bunch of plastics are technically not considered artificial. Dumbest thing I've ever seen. Fly fishing people will have outlawed everything but fly fishing if they had their way
Man I missed your posts laxwyo. Those are some great fish. Just one of those days obviously. However you are correct about the fly fishing guys. In fact now that I know how these were caught I can no longer have communications with you...youve been officially de-friended...lol.;) But before I go I really need GPS coordinates on where exactly you were on the Green. I've got a Sex Dungeon I wanna throw there way. You can just P.M coordinates cause I dont want to run into Sneakypete when I'm in there fishing. Lol:p

im looking at a new pair of waders, cold weather ones, any recommendations? last few years ive just been buying cheap Hodges from Wal-Mart every year for the phenomenal late winter fishing that takes place at first thaw. this last year I bought a pair of frog togs, and I was very pleased with those. they worked great! being a fool I left them in the garage and the cats made a scratching post out of them. have some cabalas gift cards from Christmas and was wanting a nice pair.

I've been using the Cabelas wader-pants for the last couple seasons. I like them. They have the boot attached and go up to your waist. I used them while hunting moose, and on Kodiak this year. You can sit in them without your butt getting wet and are reasonably comfortable enough to hike in.
I always seem to step deeper than my hip waders go.
One thing...don't let them get frozen over night or you'll never get them on the next morning!

Ivory,

These are Hodgman that I bought from cabelas. I've used them a few years and like you I love hitting rivers once they open up in late winter/early spring. Because they aren't neoprene i can really layer underneath and they've been plenty warm. Won't break the bank and have held up nice.

I just looked back and yea congrats to all! Super cool to look over some great fish of all kinds.

Not sure if I will get out again before 16 rolls around but I ended up getting a good one to start out the ice fishing season here in Co. This one was 39" long that I caught yesterday. Thin ice up to this point but I hope to get out more and even try out some new high lakes this winter.

Good luck to all as we move into 2016!
