Lol. Just stop at the next pay phone. I actually thought wolf creek and Craig was fairly close to you but it appears to still be at least 2-2 1/2 hrs away. I also figured you probably have fished over there. Have you?

Just got back last Wednesday from my 6 day fishing trip in the Madison Valley, MT. We stayed at the West Fork Cabins just south of Cameron and Ennis. We love those cabins because its right in the heart of where we want to be and they're rustic with no T.V.'s. Most everyone else staying that same week were there for the opening of elk and deer season. We were about the only ones there to fish.
The weather was better than we expected for this time of year. It wasn't till the last day that we saw snow flying at our elevation. We rented a RO drift boat from Big Boys Toys in Bozeman. We also rented a 4 wheel drive Tacoma p/u truck from Ressler Toyota for those wondering about renting a 4 wheel drive truck for hunting Montana.
All in all the trip was a huge success. It was just me and my dad that went. We floated 6 days in a row. Most days putting in about 16-17 miles behind the oars. Our favorite section is from Lyons Bridge to Macatee Bridge. we also floated Varney to 8 mile. We would wake up at 4:00 a.m. and be on the river by 8:00. We get up early b/c of the time difference. Wish I could sleep in but just didn't happen. We floated one day on the Missouri River with not much success.
Here are some pictures from our trip. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Not sure why some pictures are showing up and some aren't but when I clicked the attachment they opened. Maybe the moderator has a limit on pictures of fish on a hunting forum...lol. Sorry!

Can't see the pics Matt, but I know they are some good ones! Next time I will be there for sure.
Yea I think you've already seen them all anyway. Sounds good. Maybe next time both our schedules will work better and maybe we'll get ol Pete out on the river to. He swears he wants to learn. He won't put the rifle down long enough to try. Haha. He's a killing machine right now. And your bull was a dandy to! Congrats if I hadn't already told ya.
