Going into the Antelope draw with 7 points! I'm trying for a limited area and really hope to draw this year.

What's your top picks for buck antelope in Wy this year?

Good luck with the draw! I'll never have the patience to build 7 points. I'm applying with 0 points since I drew last year, so maybe I'll be looking at a 2nd choice or leftovers, or maybe a 2nd choice deer tag instead.

If I had some points I'd try to draw 73. Never hunted 73, but the area looks like it would be fun to hunt.

Still a little early for me to call, but I have some ideas for you. Shoot me a PM if you wish and we can discuss further if you like.

I have 7 points also, but am going to split them with a buddy who has never antelope hunted. I hunted 57 with 1 point, so catching the top units again will be tough and would rather watch a good friend take a nice goat than be a point collector anymore.

If I can get my dad to apply this year we will be putting in the specail draw with 3pts somewhere in the middle of WY.

My brother and I both have 7 points and we are dividing them up between the two of us and my two boys. We have a total of 18 points between the four of us. I am really excited to get my boys out in a really good antelope area. September cannot come fast enough.

With 2 points in the Special I may be able to draw a decent area. Since I'm forking out the big bucks, I hope the winter and spring weather will be conducive to good horn growth this year?

Fish, the next three months will really make or break the antler and horn growth. April and May are the largest precipitation months in Wyoming so a lot hinges on how much falls. Right now most areas look ok but not an abundance of precip according to what I have been watching online. The south central and south west part of Wyoming is below normal right now but that can change quickly. What area are you hunting?

The snowpack is below average right now state wide, but precipitation amounts in the lower elevations that I've been watching are either at or slightly below average at this point. Hilltop nailed it, the next couple months are when we get the majority of moisture for the grass to grow.

That's my plan I am hoping to get antelope tags to go with my area 120 elk tag
