I've been fortunate to guide a lot of successful elk hunts. Being from AZ with tags hard to come by I still haven't been able to draw.
After moving to colorado 3 yrs ago, a lot of frustration trying to learn areas and elk patterns I finally got it done. Solo, public land draw tag, called this bull in to 23 yds of course he came in silent and busted me, got him stopped at 45 yds and slipped a slick trick in him. He ran 40 yds and piled up. Getting to watch him tip over was better than any elk video I've ever watched.
Sorry the photo is taken off my regular camera with my iPhone.

Awesome! I can't wait to head out to Wyoming later this week to help a member on his hunt in the BigHorns! There is nothing better than chasing bulls in the rut!

Persistence paid off.

Many of my best archery animals were spooked before the shot that killed them and they happened to stop in range. Way to make the best of that situation.
