Favorite Gamebird and Why?

Quail for me. I love to fry up a bunch of breasts with garlic salt and butter.
Quail are one of the few game birds I still pluck. I like to dip them in egg and milk, roll them in season crushed corn flakes and then fry in a good grease (extra cholesterol please). Serve with real mashed potatoes and a good cream gravy.

Big ole fat greenheads for me! They use all types of habitat, respond well to the call, fun to shoot in singles, pairs, or bunches of 500. You don't need private land to kill a limit, or a ton of fancy gear. Good old fashioned hard work and know how pays the bills, when it comes to shooting greentops.
Also, there's just nothing quite like a big bunch of mallards cutting air, trying to get down into you in hurry, with that lead hen barking out signals!

I have heard a rumor that Todd and I will be going after my second favorite bird this weekend...

He was nice enough to go scouting for us and came up with a slew of mallards....
