Elk Hunt ..Unit # 59

Am looking at unit # 59 for an elk hunt and sure would like to hear back from the group if anyone has hunted the area .
Also, who would be a good guide to contact? Has anyone used Wapiti Ridge Outfitters?

Are you looking at the late season 59 hunt or just general? ...JJ is a great outfitter and great guy. You would not go wrong with him. He runs a top notch outfit hands down. I know if you go ask around on MonsterMuleys forum, multiple people have hunted with him and all have great things to say...I personally just know him through good friends and we have met briefly, he runs a top notch outfit.

Gotcha...Yea if thats where you want to hunt...JJ would be my choice of the outfitters in that area. He had a great season last year thanks in part to early snowfall pushing elk early. He's a great outfitter and works hard to have a well respected name in the industry. . If you are looking just for general WY wilderness...I guide in the Teton wilderness; just from the jackson side.. Shoot me a PM if interested. If 59 is where u wanna go though, JJ is the one to choose in my opinion

I've met him too and he's top notch from what I saw. I've talked with him about other guides and he's been real helpful even though he has nothing to gain. Others rave about him too

ive general hunted 59 before, nothing hard core just a few days... I have some pics of bulls from late season and general season. you are gonna want to go back a ways for bigger bulls as you can imagine its pretty slammed with road hunters and people walking in on opening day. pm me if you want
