The same for me....Practice out to 60, pretty confident at 40. Conditions depend a lot on what distance is ok, wind and angle of the wind, how big is the target, what position am I shooting from etc.

Holey crap........you must have a BIG backyard if you can practice out to 10080 yardsI am really confident out to 80 but to take a shot at. an animal that far there would have to be absolutely no wind. I like to practice out to 10080 yards just for fun. It make those 30-50 yard shots really easy.
My phone was messing up i meant to put 100 yards.Holey crap........you must have a BIG backyard if you can practice out to 10080 yards![]()
Well lets say he's shooting 280 fps and his animal was 246 feet away..........arrow "time of flight" was 0.878 seconds, a little over 3/4 of a second...........by the math it doesn't seem like much but watching the arrow fly it seems like it takes forever to get there.I watched Wydell make an 82 yd shot on TV last night. He took a 2nd shot, but both arrows hit. It seemed like it took forever for the arrow to get there.
Well that's if you don't take into account the decrease of an arrow's velocity. That would be true if arrows lost zero energy.Well lets say he's shooting 280 fps and his animal was 246 feet away..........arrow "time of flight" was 0.878 seconds, a little over 3/4 of a second...........by the math it doesn't seem like much but watching the arrow fly it seems like it takes forever to get there.
That's a very good point...........good catch.Well that's if you don't take into account the decrease of an arrow's velocity. That would be true if arrows lost zero energy.
