+++Eastmans 2015 Custom Moneyclip Progress thread+++

Hey gang it has been busy here but Progress is being made on the Money-Clip that was won by Jason. I am doing something new this year. I started 3d Printing back in November so I will be able to share a new process with you this year. The model for Jason's Elk artwork will be 3D Printed.

The Money-Clip will be a combination of Sterling Silver and Gold. The base of the Money-Clip will be Sterling and the Elk will be Gold.

I will also be doing a Pendent for Jason's daughter along with the Money-Clip....Enjoy the process. Mark

Anyway I have finished the Sterling Base / clip part of the project. To get a clean look The Gold part of the Money-Clip will be riveted on after it is complete.


I am also working on the vector drawing for Jason's Elk. Jason sent me a few photos so I could get a idea what his Elk Looked like. Like I normally do I take bits and pieces from the photos to try and get the depiction correct. The vector drawing when finished will be used for the finished piece.

I can't wait either. My daughter's bday is April 5 so the pendent will be a present for her. Almost as excited to see that as I am the money clip.

I am going to try and get the pendent to you before her birthday. Here is the artwork for the pendent. There will be a elk on the back. I already have the chain here. Mark

Not sure which Ivory I am going to use so I made a left ad right. These will be machined out on the CNC.

I went ahead and did a 3d Print of the Pendent as well. Here is the STL file that was used to 3d Print the piece.



Here is the 3D Printer going through the printing process. This was a short print of about 20minutes.

Update....
As a comparison here is the machined version of the pendent for Jason's daughter. Just came off the CNC. The artwork for the Money clip will take a bit longer as it is way more detailed.
