Matt, you'd probably have a fly line in the water on that trip!
You know me well. That would be the combo.
Although your hunt this year would also be a GREAT adventure. Can't wait to hear the stories. I'm not gonna wait for your post. Gonna have to hear that one first hand. Good luck hope you tag all, although I bet the wife don't. That taxidermy bill will be a killer. Can you say second mortgage? Oh well you only live once!

Shiras Moose/ Rocky Mountain Elk or a Tule Elk/ Blacktail. I'm going to try this first one this fall since I just received news on pulling my Idaho Moose tag and with an OTC elk and deer if I choose to purchase them!

My dream hunt is WY this year where I hope to get an elk and pronghorn with my bow.

A big public land bow red stag and tahr here in New Zealand would be a dream hunt too:D

I think what makes New Zealand and Stone Sheep/Canada such a dream, is that they seem out of reach to me!
Hunting in NZ would be fairly easy to do. Just need to get to NZ and you can hunt public without any real restrictions. No tags. Using a chopper to access tahr country makes life a lot easier too. I can point you in the right direction if you do get down here.

If I could really pull that off, it would be like living a dream. I have a ton of questions I might PM you if that's ok. I think NZ has such cool country. Thanks for offering advice. My wife and would love to get down there sometime, just not sure when we can make it happen. What are the best months to schedule a trip.

Yeah, happy to answer questions via PM anytime. The best months are April and May, being the red deer roar (rut) and tahr rut. Its fall so the weather is often settled compared to other times of the year.

Stone sheep combined with anything would be mine. Also alaska for dall sheep and yukon moose.

The marco polo and ibex combo is a tough to beat though also.

Its cool though. [emoji106]

If my combo can include fishing, it would be hunting caribou and flyfishing for arctic char someplace north of nowhere...
