So now that the dead line has passed. What are you hopping to draw this fall?

I entered for area 21 antelope and two doe/fawn tags. Shared points with a buddy so we had 3 points each.
We also entered for region Y mule deer buck. I shared points here as well and had 2 points each.

I spent many hours researching and had points to draw some fare antelope units on my own with 6 points. The problem was 4 points for mule deer just was not enough. It would have taken another 3 to 4 points to draw a good limited area. I gave it some thought and decided I would rather hunt with a friend this year than wait a few more years and hunt alone. I picked an area I felt we could draw.

This may be my only trip out West as work does not allow the days need for long hunting trips. I have set aside two full weeks of hunting for this trip. It is the first time in 30 years at my job I have taken more than a week off at a time(great to own your own business). Needless to say I am very excited to see Wyoming for the first time. I don't want to rush it as I know it will be here and gone before I know it.

Good luck to everyone!

Since I struck out on moose and elk, I put in with a few buddies for an easier to draw mule deer and antelope buck tag as well as a couple doe antelope tags. Hoping to have a decent sized camp this year with friends.

Hoping for an elk tag in 11.
Since none of my picks put me in competition with NR I would gladly share any info on any hunts around Laramie. I have hunted most of the areas around this part of the state for antelope, deer and elk, moose and bighorn sheep too.
Shoot me a PM and I'll share or post it and I'll share with all.

Wish that sheep herd would get healthy in the Snowy's. We used to be able to see them about any day of the summer and fall down below 4 corners. There used to be a fair number of ewe tags back in the day... now only a ram tag every few years.

My wife applied for deer in Unit 10.

Figured out this morning we should have applied for doe antelope in 26.
Maybe there will be some leftovers! and you can get them in the 2nd draw. Used to be leftovers all the time. You will have no problem getting does in 26. Probably more time to drive from 10 to 26 than it takes to get your does. Let me know if i can help you as i mentioned before!

You bet! It just slipped my mind. Last year they all went in the initial draw, but there are alot more this year.

I will let you know if she draws and maybe we can meet up.

Very excited to return.

Elk area 7 for me. If it weren't for the long season and full bow season in 7, I'd have gone for area 11. Cow tag in 9. 60 for deer again. My antelope unit is a secret. I don't want to give it any publicity whatsoever.

Just antelope for me... general elk and general deer tags are the best in the state! Hoping to turn up my 400+ bull again from last year otherwise I'm packing deep into the wilderness anyway in October with a non resident buddy who has a general tag this year; then going to find a giant highcountry buck and hopefully tag him! Can't wait for snow to melt and scouting to begin

Same, found a great looking 7x8 and drew my general elk. Only have 4 days to hunt him since I'm running collegiate cross country this fall.

Leftover tags for antelope/deer if I find one of the good bulls I've been watching.

I applied for 21/Y as well. Hunted it in 2014 and had a blast! Excited to go back

Thank will do. I have looked at every inch of the area on maps and google earth. Looking forward to putting my feet on the ground. I have started walking 3 miles every other day. Maybe I will be in decent shape by season. I have been wondering if I need to bump it up a little as the time gets closer.

Conditioning usually isn't super important for the antelope hunt but chasing mule deer can be a different story. I have never heard anyone say they were in too good of shape for their hunt- may as well be ready for anything.
