Hey guys wanted to see how Oregon's archery season is shaping up?

I have been trying to find a good blacktail buck for both my wife and myself but no luck so far. I did how ever arrow my first Roosevelt bull second day of season this year! I am pretty pumped up and calling in lots of bulls. Called in two five points this passed week for a hunting partner, they came into around 20 yards but lost light!

here is a photo of my bull.

Thanks guys. I feel pretty fortunate. Hoping to cap my season off with a blacktail! Plus my wife is still going to rifle hunt elk and has a archery deer tag so we will see what happens. Good luck to everyone!

Thanks everyone. I am waiting the next 30 days so I can get it officially scored. If it makes pope and young than I am on my way to starting the Super 10 and who knows maybe onto the Super Slam, its always been a goal of mine to complete. We will see where life takes me!

Nice bull! Congrats and good luck on the 10 always fun to strive for something that will last longer than we will.

Nice bull Iceman. I am almost certain he is P&Y but pictures can be deceiving. You gotta wait 90 days at any rate. Be sure and post the score when it's done.

Thanks everyone. I roughly measured him and he is right at 280 P&Y. But I am not official so we will see. Is it really a 90 day dry period? I thought it was only 60. Well if someone knows for sure could you get me to a site or to some information so I could possibly read up on it. How was everyone's first season? Anyone going after late season bucks?

Sorry, my bad. I just looked and you are correct it is 60 days.
