Hello guys. Been offline for a while due to work and family. I missed seeing everyones pics and hearing the stories. I wanted to see what you guys think about digiscoping. It is new to me and I am sure alot of guys on here understand all the pitfalls associated with it.

I own a Meopta Meopro spotter and l am looking to purchase a Phone Scope setup for the Meopta. I also own a Samsung S6 smartphone, but I am long overdew for a new phone.

I wanted to hear you guys opions on phone scope adapters vs any other adapters on the market and also any feedback on the pros and cons of iphones vs the samsung galaxies as related to digiscoping. Thank you for your input.

I've used the Carson Hookupz phone adapter for an iPhone...used in combination with a Swarovski 65 spotting scope. I got some decent pictures, but it was a pain to set up during hunting conditions. As a recommendation, make sure you check how the adapter fits your phone when it's in the case. The Carson was listing as fitting an iPhone 6, but I had to take the phone out of the case in order for it to fit.

Good luck

I just purchased PhoneSkope Adapters for my iPhone 7 and GoPro to fit on my Vortex Diamondback Spotting Scope (20-60x80).. Just got them in about 3 weeks ago, so I haven't had the time to field test on wildlife yet.. Looking forward to it though.. I did however, test it out at home to mess around.

The gray car is 515 yards away according to my Vortex Optics Ranger 1500 Rangefinder and I can make out the license plate. So I should have no problem spotting some big bulls this fall.. Never to early to get ready for hunting season!!

How far away are those shots?? Those are great?? What equipment (Scope, specs.) are you using?

Not sure I remember exact distance. The goat was probably the furthest. Maybe 1/2 mile... maybe.
The spotter is a swaro. 20-60x65.
I have unfortunately learned that the phone itself makes a huge difference. That was an older Samsung and it was awesome. I went to the Note (for a bigger map) & it does not do half as good of a job.
Still super fun though to get some pics.
