Did you apply because you dint have to front the full fee????

Trying to see if not having to front the entire fee is going to have an impact on the amount of people getting preference points.

I personally know of 4 others that are putting in for a lot more here in Colorado this year just because they don't have to front the fees up front this year.

It will be interesting to see what effect it really has.

Of course it will, I applied for every tag I could, it's not going to have the effect on point creep like everyone thinks though. If you already have a ton of PP ur that many higher than everyone else.

The ones it will affect though will be the people that are just now starting to accumulate PP's

I applied for everything I could. At an additional $3 per app, I decided I'd be nuts not to. Even if the odds are astronomical, $3 is a pretty cheap lottery ticket.
I'm sure it will totally wreck the already bad odds for MSG. Not really sure what it will do for deer, elk and pronghorn. Since they're on a true preference point system, it won't impact anyone until they've drawn out, and start over.. We'll see, I guess..

It’s going to cause the point system to train wreck even worse than it is now. App numbers will increase for all species, and now I’m extra sure I made the right call by not getting into the MSG game in CO. I hope you guys can draw out by 2020.

It is a Gypsumreaper mentioned, it won't hurt those that have points in the draws now but those that are just starting out in the points game.

Remember deer, elk, and pronghorn, and bear are on a preference point system. Where sheep, goats, and moose are on a bonus point system. So ones you get your three points into that pool you will always have a chance, be it ever so slim.

We intended to begin accruing elk points in Colorado this year. The change in their policies was a coincidence, and honestly, we only want a couple points apiece to expand our options.

That totally sucks. They did that in WA and now people are putting their young kids that can't even hold a rifle. It made the draw odds even worst even with a bonus point system like we have.
I'm at the end of my hunting career so this will be my last CO deer tag but I feel sorry for the rest you.
