I took lots of pics of this old trappers cabin we stayed in for a night. We didn't know there was a pack rat living in the old stove till the first night. He took a pair of my socks in the the oven. Also he chewed up a lot of our gear in one night so we moved outside and slept on the cots under the stars.

We came home without a buck but had a good trip. Saw a ton of does, coyotes and Antelope but only small bucks. It was very hot so we think the big bucks were still up high and we were not prepared for the mountains. I had arranged for horses to be available for this hunt but the guy backed out literally as we pulled into the ranch. That pretty much screwed up our hunt but we made the best of it.

I really enjoy pics of old cabins like these. If only the walls could talk. Spending time with family and friends sounds like a successful hunt to me.

Love the pics of the old cabin! Sorry you didn't come home with a buck but it looks like you had a great time!

Awesome pictures. Hate the horses fell through. Does she get another crack at it, or is the season over?
Hunts over. She has a big cheer competition in a few weeks and she is nursing a strained ankle. This was the reason I went for the deal with the horses. She is afraid to hike into where the bucks are and possibly hurt her ankle and have to let her team down so she decided not to go back and try again.

Good deal. There's always next year. Glad you got her out there. Looks like an awesome place.
