Well, I drank the kool-aid.
Found out that Scheels carries Crispi boots, so I went and tried some on. Not ready to write a rave review until I get a couple dozen miles on them, but they seem pretty top notch.

Got about a mile on them, mostly running up and down my back deck steps. They are really comfortable so far.

A good 50 miles or so really gets then settled in. Personally I know how well they fit after a couple days wearing them at work.

I bought the Scheels West River model. The footwear department manager gave me his business card, and said if anything ever happens to them, bring them back, and we replace them for free. I said, well except if I shoot a hole in them (Being the smart ass I am). He smiles, and says, even if you shoot a hole in them. We actually talked for probably 20 minutes, and I brought up every possible scenario you could think of for them to fail, and if they would be covered under warranty. That's when he went and got his business card, and wrote guaranteed for life on the back of his card, and stapled it to the box. I thought, we'll I'm sold.

Got 7 miles on my boots today. I'm glad I drank the kool-aid! Rocky, steep terrain, had about 30 pounds in my pack, and my feet feel great!

Crispi do a great job making their boots comfortable out of the box. Much less break in time then other brands.

I’ve had some issues with the pair I just got with my feet sliding forward in the boots and my toes getting squished.

What I did to solve the problem is a laceing technique that keeps the laces from slipping and the boots getting loose allowing my feet to slide forward. It’s basically a double lace at the hook on the tongue of the boots.

I did buy the hunter gtx & had to return them. They seemed to tight. Now I'm on the fence again. Maybe gonna go with another pair on kenetreks in 13wide. The crispis were just 13 & not wide.

I've always been impressed with how light Crispi boots are compared to others in their category, no matter what model it is. Lots of good boots on the market today and Crispi is definitely one of the elite companies. Anyone ever try out the Valdrez? They are unbelievably light for how much stability they provide. Same with the Hunter.

I picked up the Valdres Plus GTX a couple of weeks ago, and like most have said, comfortable out of the box. I really like how light they are and the tread should work great. Will find out in a week when my archery cow tag starts here in NV on how well they travel.

Loveland, CO. was AZ.
You will like them.
Have them home and wearing around the house. Thus far I like them much better than my Kenetreks. Though I like the Kenetreks, I think my feet have changed with age some. Therefore, the Kenetreks are just slightly to narrow for my liking. Prob don’t even have 200 miles on them. Somebody I know will want them, in great shape still. The Nevada’s are super comfy right out of the box. I think I made a good choice.

I have to agree with the feet changing with age. I was a Lowa lover for years but then they started to hurt my feet. I changed to Crispi and I have happy feet again.

Put about 8 hard miles on mine yesterday. I don't remember the last time my ankles were not pounding after a day like that, I can't believe how great these boots are so far.

Just got my Nevada uninsulated yesterday they seem really good. I opted for these over the Dakota’s cuz I was afraid that loop would tear out after some use. Can’t wait to try these babies out!!

Loop has heals for me so far. I was a little worried about it too. I wear mine everyday since I posted this and they have not failed.

Don't honestly know how many miles I've put on mine in the last 2 week's, but a lot of its been really wet and muddy miles. There still great!
