My dad bailed on unit 9 and ended up drawing an archery tag in unit 10. I'm going with him for a week of his hunt, never been to the unit but I'm looking forward to it.

Good decision. How many points did he have? No elk tag is worth waiting 30 years for. That is the new reality for unit 9 applicants and just plain crazy in my book. Hell prolly die first anyway.

They ran most if not all the draw cards Friday. The data goes to the Game Branch then a list of alternates who will be fill-in's is sent back for card processing. They are hoping those secondary charges will be done by the end of the week. I drew as an alternate in 2013 so it can happen.
