Best thing about crappie fishing is crappie eating. Congrats. My dad crappie fishes close to 3 times a week if weather is good. He mainly spider rigs. He also shoots docks. How are y'all catching them?

I fish a road runner(prefer the leaf blade) with a 2" kalin grub In Tennessee shad. I fish placed structure. I like to use pallet beds in 10 to 15 feet of water. I slow reel the bait over the structure. We now have a 30 fish limit for most of Arkansas. That is way more fish than I care to clean. The 20 I caught Saturday was a little over a gallon bag of filets.

The limit here in Georgia is 30 per person as well. I agree, after cleaning about twenty I'm usually done. Good eating though. Worth every second of it. Glad your slaying them over there.

there is no limit here and most keep em by the 5 gallon bucketfull.they will literally keep anything(size) they reel in, then go home complaining there are no good sized crappie in the lake, due to poor management.lol.

My dad and I took home 28 total over the weekend in southern Illinois. It was our first time at that particular lake. Most other boats limited out at 25 per person though. It took us about a half a day to figure out what jigs to use and at what depth they were.

That is a big crappie. I have caught several good ones, but not one that large. I did have a stringer one time where all fish were 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. 20 fish at 52 lbs. Now that was a day to remember.
