Glad they got caught but that system seems way to trusting to me. I like the systems where a person has to provide a set of ears to be paid for the dead coyote.

Utah does requires both ears attached to the skin and the lower jaw. Along with the GPS location of the kill.

Granted they can dummy up the location but it is kind of hard to dummy up the ears and jaw.

I have heard of others that have shot coyotes out of state and turned them in but I have no real proof of it.

Right now it is way too easy to cheat the Utah bounty system.

any time someone offers money, for anything , someone will try to cheat to get it.

it is human nature to lie cheat and steal, any time one thinks they can get away with it.
expect the worst from folks and they will never disappoint you.
