Cow Moose Attack

Pretty sad deal. Seems he forced the issue a bit by crowding the Moose early on. He is lucky to be alive after that initial attack. I suspect F&G would love to pay him a visit if he did not report the event.

Agreed I think I would of waited until the moose left the trail. It would of moved eventually

Not sure how I would have responded but my first thought was he should have tried to move off the trail and let her go by. Either way, it is a sad deal.

Old video, been around at least a few years. Guy pushed the moose. They don't want to leave those trails in the deep snow. He could have sat quietly a good ways off and waited to see what the moose did. Instead, he forced the issue, could have been seriously hurt/killed, and a moose was needlessly killed.

The smowmobiler pushed the issue by not waiting to see what the moose did by waiting where he was when moose was first spotted. After he got closer to the moose is when the moose felt threatened. He could have then fired into the air and maybe scared it off. Sad the moose had to die because of that bonehead.

I guess I think he pushed it a little too much also. They are not like cattle that you shoo from the road. Too big of a hurry, I think. Not sure how I would have reacted after getting kicked either on the other hand. Sad deal for sure.

if it matters, this occurred a few years back.
I have seen moose stomp sleds a couple of times.

I sure hope they charged the guy with shooting a moose out of season/no license at the very least. He didn't have to use deadly force, he wasn't in danger until he put himself there. And having provided his own evidence to be used against him. What an asshat.
