Contact lenses in the backcountry

I looked at lasik a while ago but my eyeballs are shaped like footballs instead of baseballs so they were reluctant to advise I go ahead with it so I didn’t. It seems to be improving all the time so maybe now the tech is better and they can shave the shape in better. The wrap around glasses are a good idea when wearing contacts. I will have to look into mabye trying contacts again with safety goggles or whatever.

My prescription is still changing which is one of my hurdles.

I'm going to be hunting more this year with glasses on. I haven't had much experience in real cold weather yet. That may make me want to look into contacts. No pun intended

Just out of curiosity, how many of you have seriously looked at Lasik(sp) to help deal with this?

I have thought about it, but haven't been in the position to do it yet.

My wife had her eyes done in 2013, she was legally blind without glasses before Lasik surgery. About 30 minutes after, she was reading license plates in the parking lot from the 13 floor of the office in Denver, I still can't believe it. I had my eyes done in 2015, and haven't looked back, its fantastic. Honestly one of the greatest investments in my own health I have ever made. Plus if you add up all the costs of contacts, and glasses over a 6-8 year period, that's what the surgery costs.
