I started applying for moose in the mid 90's, when they were first hunted in colorado, after introduction from Utah in the late 70's. I'm still waiting to draw my moose tag. I drew my goat tag in 97 and sheep tag in 01. The weighted point crap that the cdow started, now cpw, just to appease the whiners that want everything right now, has only made it more difficult for me to draw these tags. Put in for three years and then you basically have as good of chance as anyone to draw. You can't draw if you don't put in! Or in my case, you can't draw, even if you do put in. I shouldn't bitch too loud, hunting has been good to me.
If im not mistaken, your moose came from the Moran moose herd by Jackson Hole Wyoming in the 70's

Wow, they had enough moose to transplant some to other states? I wonder what happened to those herds? It couldn't be wolves because according to some on here: all they eat are flowers and sunshine. They spread love and joy everywhere they go. Must be the grizzlies, coyotes, and mountain lions, yep definitely the mountain lions.

Wait! Your right, your on to something! Don't know why this wasn't mentioned in any of the studies? COLORADO is the reason Wyoming doesn't have any moose! They took them all, it was right under our noses this whole time! I'm sure the G&F director at the time got some sweet Broncos tickets in trade for the moose though! HAHA.
