Colorado to Ban Hunting Bobcats

Now that I have your attention, I just saw this on FB on the Eastmans page and since there are members here who may not have access to FB I'll post a link here to the Senate Bill that they are talking about that would ban hunting for them.

I just tried to come up with some information on it but it is just in the Natural Resources & Environment Committee right now with no action so far.

This state has a habit of passing dumb ideas that affect hunters and hunting.

To bad. Starts with banning trapping, then ban predator hunting. Then upland game, big game and foul. Just a matter of time if these decisions are left to voters instead of biolgists.

They pushed through a initiative a long time ago banning trapping along with hunting bears in the spring and with dogs. Along with it they passed the law where you have to consume what you shoot, I think that they didn't include coyotes in that one.

So with the wolf stuff passing they feel that they have John Q Public on their sides now that they are looking to ban hunting bobcats. Lynx are already illegal to hunt.
