Zero points. I didn't intend to draw a ewe, the price tag is a bit steep this year for me as a non resident. That's my dilemma, I'll most likely never draw a ram. But drawing this first try seems like it shouldn't be too hard with a couple of point if I wanted to draw in the future.

Yeah, non-resident fee for a ewe is steep! If you intend on only getting a ewe tag in the future though, I wouldn't wait. Who knows what the future might bring. You have the tag in hand now! I say go for it... easy for me to say. I drew a tag once and will probably never draw again. I would take a ewe tag anytime, every time if I could get one. What unit did you draw?

I agree. I don't know the cost, but you DO have a tag in hand. If possible, I'd find a way.

Not to mention you drew with zero points! You could potentially draw in the future too. Go get that ewe now since you have the tag and can experience sheep hunting. Then try for a ram tag from here on out since you'll be an expert sheep hunter after this :p

Back when we were doing paper applications a friend of mine spent 7 or 8 points on a archery doe antelope tag that could be purchased over the counter almost. When he got the tag and looked at it he was madder than a wet hornet. After a couple dozen calls to the DOW he finally got his points back, but after that he paid attention to what he was doing.

Any insight for S21? I haven't spent much time in those little hills
I don't have any information about the sheep in the area. I have backpacked in there a few times. If you end up doing the hunt and need some help with anything, shoot me a PM. Can't pass up scouting or sheep hunting!
