What unit/ season??? Congratulations!!!
Drew S23, S27 the Tarryalls. Two ram tags for these units. I already have a little intel from doing some hiking up in that area with the family in years past. Probably a lot more hiking in the family's future this summer!!!

Just received my email...no desert sheep tag again. But there is one error, the email says I was awarded a pref point. Just talked to CP&W and that was a mistake....still no points used for desert sheep.

I’ve seen some sheep in S27 a couple times too. Good luck!

No with 3+14 NR points.
Got you beat by 1 point Zim 3+15 haha! I was lucky though and drew out my mountain goat tag last year. I figure we have two more years to draw out on the big 3 before the odds completely tank for us NR?s with the flood of new applicants. I?m sure there is an application or points fee increase on the horizon in the near future as well.

Good luck with your remaining drawing results...

Ya I will be switching to the best odds archery units after this year. In an effort to beat the rush. Would have this year, but it?s a transition year for me and my new bride will accompany me on any hunts. So I didn?t want to tow her on a hard core OIL hunt. But that won?t be the case going forward.

I switched up my apps not to burn too many points, and hope to draw an opportunity type hunt like Kaibab archery. She would love it there.

Quick question for the group...my sheep PP status says "Not Awarded". Has that happened to anyone? Wondering if I made a mistake entering the PP code when I applied.

The very first year I became a resident I applied for both Bighorn and Desert Sheep ... which isn't allowed.
So I didn't get Pref Point for either one.
Totally my fault.

Just remember you must turn-in your license at least 30 days prior to opening day.
Info below is directly from the game regs...

REFUNDS, REISSUES, EXCHANGES
1. Check our website for the most up-to-date information: cpw.state.co.us/
Refunds
2. The $3 application fee and $10 Habitat Stamp fee are nonrefundable.
3. To get a refund OR preference point(s) restored, you must relinquish
your license and carcass tag at least 30 days before opening day of the
season for which the license is valid. License must be accompanied by a
completed request form obtained at a CPW location or the website. Most
refunds are subject to a $15 processing fee.
Preference points are reinstated to a pre-draw level, you do NOT receive
an additional preference point for 2018.
Requests must be postmarked at least 30 days before the season starts.
If there isn’t enough time to request a form, mail your license and carcass
tag with a letter to CPW. It must be postmarked 30 days before the season
for which the license is valid starts and mailed to CPW, attn: Refund Office,
6060 Broadway, Denver, CO 80216.
A license cannot be recovered once it has been returned to CPW along
with a refund or preference point restoration request form.
4. Once there are fewer than 30 days until the season starts, refunds or preference
point restorations are limited to extreme medical circumstances of the
licensee, death of the licensee or death of the licensee’s immediate family
member, members of the U.S. military whose service prevented them from
requesting a refund or reinstatement on time, or jury duty which overlaps
with the season dates on the license.
These requests must be accompanied by evidence that the license has
not been used, AND circumstances precluded the licensee from being able to
make their request 30 days or more from season start.
5. All license exchanges will be charged a fee of fifty percent of the cost
of the original license, not to exceed $25. Read the full exchange policy
here: cpw.state.co.us/LCPolicy
6. Limited licenses that are returned may be available for purchase on
the leftover license sales list: cpw.state.co.us/Leftover

Yeah a Ewe tag possibly
That's to bad. It's still sheep hunting though! I can understand why you'd be hesitant. How many points did you give up? If not many, and you've never sheep hunted it might be worth the experience for only a few points? And if you think there might be other opportunities in your future... as in you have a pile of points in other states etc? Tough call...
