A guy on another site is claiming he has a sheep tag "on file" when he checks the backdoor to see what licenses he has in the system. Mine all say "app" only so far. If any draws have taken place it should only be for sheep, goat so far. The official results should be out Wednesday!

Awesome. It's always cool when we can find out a bit early on the draw results. Nv seems to have closed all the back doors, locked them up and threw away the key.

I never could figure out what a week or two matters on weather you draw a tag or not. You have been waiting for up to 5 months now so what is another week? I do believe that they could set up a system where a official email could be sent out notifying you that you either drew or didn't.

Colorado has been closing and locking them too as they figure out how it's being done. I'm still a little skeptical that this approach is working this year. Would like to hear someone else say they can see they drew before I believe it.

If you don't understand, then I can't explain it. It's just excitement and anticipation I guess? You put in 5 months ago? It's only been a month for me since I put in right before the April deadline...

I understand the excitement and everything else but I also realize that if I draw a tag I draw a tag and if I don't I don't. It isn't a matter of life and death that some think it is. I know of hunters in Utah that right now are waiting for their credit cards to get hit so that they can start scouting. But what are they scouting? While antler growth has been going on for a couple of months or so on elk and a little while shorter on deer they will have no idea of what that animal is going to look like 3 or 4 months from now. Even when I had a limited entry elk tag in Utah did I start to scout until the middle part of July.

As for putting in early, it is just something that I do. I hate to leave things to the last couple of days and I have seen application systems crash when trying to do it on line and if you waited until the last days you didn't get to apply.

Heck, if he really has access to a backdoor to find out good for him. If he doesn't and just is that confident that he's going to draw, but doesn't, then he'll have egg on his face, and a whole lot more.
I agree though, I want to know the second there posted.

He is a resident and I think it is legit. It worked for me last year on a NR pronghorn tag. I am not sure it works for NR sheep, goat, and moose however, as NR's are required to mail in our applications and therefore those apps don't show-up on the list of "products on file" while deer, elk, and pronghorn on-line apps do. Maybe if a NR draws a sheep or goat tag, they would still show the tag there though even without the apps showing. If that is the case, no tag for me this year...

Good luck everyone!

It shouldn't matter if it was a paper application or done on line. It is all linked to your CC license number.

But then I could be wrong

Understood but the NR APPs for moose, sheep, and goat don't show-up under "products on file". If you drew a NR sheep tag I think it would show a 500 code though for the tag you drew...

I agree Horniac, I have never heard of a nonresident showing a sheep, goat, or moose tag through the backdoor method.

Jim P....It's not to say it doesn't happen though.

My wife and I currently show no codes for sheep or goat. We should have about 10% odds at a tag.

No 500 code for my sheep app. Now waiting for WY bison 10 am for another reject. Yawn. Better chances coming soon in CO & UT.

Looks like "official" results are popping up on the web site now... Unsuccessful for goat, again... Still holding out hope for the desert sheep although I'm not showing a 500 code.
