I gave up on that northwest corner 8 years ago when I realized that even being a resident I would have to wait another dozen or so years and that was when I had 17 elk points.

I burned my CO points a few years ago, but have continued to get elk and deer pts. I used the 1 that I had for elk again last year, and will likely use 2 pts. to draw a cow tag in 2024. As I hit 70 this year, there is no "point" to sitting on points. I actually did my first CO hunt in 1979 in the NW corner after buying both tags OTC..... how times have changed.

I drew a unit 10 tag in 2008 with 18 points and last year it took 29 points.
