Colorado 3rd season units 68,681 and 682

Does anyone have any experience in this area of Colorado? I will have 5 points next year and have been thinking about applying for the unit 68,681 and 682 3rd season tag. I have been researching these units for a couple years now and really like what I have seen.

Actually the unit gained a lot of attention when one of the owners of a big magazine killed a heavy 194" buck there in 2009 on a 4th season hunt. In 2009 it took only 3 points for a non-resident to draw the 4th season. The next year, 2010, it took 8 for a non-resident to draw, and as of last year it was at 11 I believe. The 3rd season still is a relatively easy hunt to draw.

I'm also debating on unit 22, or 70 third season. I just don't like the sounds of the amount of tags they give out.

My opinion is that almost any of the deer units with a 4th season hunt and worth looking into. Not many have a 4th season, but being so late in November (and close to the rut), those that do are starting to take a lot of points for both R & NR tags. Also there are not many tags issued in most of these units. Just sayin.........

I'd love to hear how it goes. I'm watching 68 & 70 myself. Ruled out 22 due to oil companies, from what I've gathered.

Should have seen one of the hunts on the Outdoor Channel. Would expect this year's hunt to air on the show as well.
