I just wished that Colorado would go to a system similar to what Utah does. Utah holds meetings in their different regions to listen to what the hunters would like to do along with letting them know what is going on with the division. They then allow speakers at their final meeting where they set the hunt numbers along with it being streamed to those who can't attend.

It just seams that so much of what the Colorado Parks and Wildlife do is done in back rooms and not out in the open and no one knows what is happening until after the fact.

I only applied for deer this season and all of the units I applied for are showing increases. I guess that's good and bad. Lots of information in that pdf!

Oh, so not everyone has to scroll through the whole thing, the deer tag info starts around page 50 or 60 somewhere. Goat, sheet, lions and bear are before that. I didn't look at the elk, but assume its probably right after the deer.

I'm pretty sure we do Jim for the DAU and EAU level. When I researched it before there was meetings held and an open period for letters to be sent. When I would research the EAU specificly, I would find overall report, meeting minutes, input in the form of letters from local ranchers and hunters, 3 options usually get input on ( increase tags, decrease tags, keep the same....were always the first three) sometimes there would be detail on type/sex of tags for specific GMU.

I agree it would be nice to video conference into the meetings and find the info easier. Colorado doesn't do a good job advertising the meetings and the only way I could keep track before was a constant presence in the CDOW office getting to know all there.

The CP&W hold meeting that are open to the public but they are few and far between. I just like the Utah system where they will hold meetings where the public can come in and be a actual part in the decision making process and not where you just come in and listen to what is going to happen.

Here are a list of the meetings that are open to the public for 2018
