Actually now that you mention it... since the source view page shows you gained a point and you have an elk license on file, then I would think you drew your second choice. I kinda overlooked that...

I'm still grasping at straws..... with the DEER charlie foxtrot I was in hopes that the page source was unreliable.

No worries we are already spooling up for plan B and I get an additional year to cyberscout plan "A".

We just looked up my friends elk results and his second choice was posted. I am about 99.9% sure that a 580 code applies only to your first choice. His came up as 480 elk app then 054 archery meaning that he drew his second choice.

Just got off the phone with Parks & Wildlife. I asked about the refunds for Moose. Just started mailing them yesterday, kinda odd as they were drawn the same day as Sheep/goat and I've already got that check in my hand. . I also asked about elk, as I applied for a point as my first choice (which shows up) and a M/L cow tag as second. They told me "it looks good for my cow tag" whatever the hell that means!!

I got my Moose check on Tuesday

daughter got her cow tag on her second choice! Point first and second choice cow tag! She has 2, 500 codes, one for bear and one for elk.

So mine shows that I have an archery goat tag(speed), and elk tag but still shows deer app. Does this mean they haven't updated yet or I haven't drawn?

Very interesting, as it still has what looks like a 2014 point in the page source.

As I said before in the other backdoor under "products" it has the NR 481 Elk Ap and the NR 581 Elk Tag

As they say it's not official until the end of the month.

If it helps you guys figure out what you may have drawn I only applied as a first choice and it shows 581 for the tag. 481 for the application.

Correct, 500 means you have some sort of tag headed your way.

Thanks guys, I don't think anyone would question that. The discussion was over two conflicting lines of thought on two separate methods of getting info. "Page source" back door is saying 2014 point. Products page for 2014 is saying 581 NR elk. Getting a 2014 point would obviously indicate not drawing fist choice.

A few folks have said that 500 series indicates 1st choice. Those two things conflict.
I guess we will know in a few days but it's good to know that a tag is coming but that was never really in question.

Both the source code and the 500 number are showing that I drew my 1st choice. Looks like 1st season rifle hunt for me!!!!!
