Base camp kitchen set up in the 14ft half top stock trailer we haul the UTV out in. Makes a good cook shack, gear shed, and hang out area outside the tipi tent.
Most meals are a sauce we make at home and freeze. Each morning that evenings meal is set out to thaw. One pot is used to boil water to heat them up in. After supper that water becomes the dish water. The other pot is used for making instant potatoes or pasta for the meal. Dean has a Jetboil full gen we use.
The other thing shown is the Coleman camp grill. Mid hunt we will grill steak. We have a skillet also for grilled cheese or frying tenderloins.
Our strategy is keep the food good but simple. We are gone from camp well before daylight and back well after dark most days. We want a good supper but a simple to prepare one also. If we aren’t at basecamp we don’t eat that good.
