Father-in-law and I were replacing a patio door on the sunroom. 1 day job turned into a 1 month job really quick. Finally have it finished so I can turn my attention back to the cabin build.

Looks like you have a lot of fish bait.

I love doing projects to older homes/cabins. You never know what you are going to uncover.

Last year I took a week long project and turned it into a couple of months when I found rotted framing lumber. Then this year I went to fix one electrical box in my kitchen and ended up doing two which turned into gutting the kitchen down to the studs on 3 of the 4 walls.

Yikes. Looks great now, but I feel for you.

We're neck deep in a remodel of a late 1800's farmhouse, we've found some defects but nothing like that luckily.

You did a great recovery job, looks awesome!!! To many people would have covered half of it up and called it good enough.

Nice work looks great. Always sucks starting a project and find out there more work then thought. But good to find it now rather then later with more issues from it
