There is a lot of money involved in just the stock in the store that is just sitting there until someone comes to look at it.

Here is something new on the Bass Pro/Cabela's front.

http://thehuntingnews.com/cabelas-banning-african-hunting-pictures-from-pro-staff/

From what I read Bass Pro management are refusing comments on it but one insider said that there was a memo sent out to the pro staff that they wanted cleaned up photos which I can understand. It is like any and all trophy shots you should get rid of the blood and make the animal as presentable as you can

Yep, my Dad is retired finish carpenter. He built high end houses until the 80's when everyone started wanting the quick and cheap houses. He switched to remodeling and kept concentrating on quality -- and got paid well for quality.

He often said: Good carpentry isn't cheap...cheap carpentry isn't good. And "you can have it fast, or you can have quality, but you can't have both."
I always offered my customers a choice: price, quality, service. Pick two.

Over on the forum where I got the link from a member sent Bass Pro a email asking them what the h#** is going on and the response was the typical corporate response about how they support hunting and the outdoor sports, but the email came from the customer service department.

Only time will tell.
